OBITUARY
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Gennady Brukhbinder. Akind Jewish soul who was loved by everyone around him. He lived his life rooted in optimismand always knew how to make the most of things. Gennady was born on February 23rd, 1938 inLeningrad (currently known as St. Petersburg), Russia. Growing up during the height of WorldWar II under Stalins leadership, he was a survivor of the blockade of Leningrad. He married thelove of his life Sophia Lozinskaya on May 24th 1960 and had two beautiful daughters,Alexandra and Marina. In 1989, Gennady and his family took it upon themselves to leave Russiaand immigrated to the United States. Being a gentleman with many talents, he held a degree inelectrical engineering and music. In his free time, he enjoyed playing upright and electric bass,accordion, and piano while also being handy and fixing appliances and other electrical things forhimself and others. He died on September 1st, 2023 at his home in Duluth, Georgia at the age of85. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Sophia, his daughters Marina and Alexandra, and fivegrandchildren Benjamin, Gregory, Eric, Anthony, and Dylan. Gennady made the most of all theblessings life had to offer while also being incredibly humble. On behalf of all of his family andfriends, we truly thank Gennady Brukhbinder for all the impact he’s made on our lives and we’ll continue to honor his life for as long as we live.
