OBITUARY
Betty Dudman Arogeti of Atlanta, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at
the age of 86. Proceeded by her late husband Ben. Betty died peacefully in her sleep
surrounded by love and her family.Betty was born in Bronx, New York on August 9, 1936, to father Bernard Dudman and mother
Bertha Eisenberg. She was the eldest sibling of her two brothers, Harold and Harvey. From a
young age she was dependable, thoughtful, incredibly positive, and very strong. After some
years in the Bronx, the Dudman family briefly moved to Atlanta, but didn't stay long as in the
mid-50’s they picked up and moved cross country to southern California. They spent several
years there until the death of her beloved mother which took them back to Atlanta. And that is
where she met the love of her life, Ben.Betty and Ben got married in 1973, and later that year they had the first and only son, Mitchell.
They spent the next years as a small family, until they welcomed Mitchell’s wife, Debbie, into the
family. A little over a year later she became a Bubbie to her first grandchild Jordan. Over the
next couple of years she became a Bubbie two more times to Bradley and Lucy.Betty lived a colorful life filled with laughter and positivity. She never had a bad thing to say
about anyone and lived her life seeing the good in everyone. She remembered the little things
and that is part of what made her the incredible woman she was. To know her, was to love her,
and she was loved by all. She never met a stranger and because of that the world has lost a
friend. However, she will live on forever in the hearts of her son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren,
brothers, nieces, nephews, her cat Jackie, and everyone who got the pleasure to know her.Betty Arogeti’s funeral will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on January 20, 2023, at 10 a.m.
Following the service join us for a Shiva lunch at her son, Mitchell Arogeti’s house.

Dear Mitchell and Debbie, we are so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. What a kind and personable loving lady Cousin Betty will always be remembered as being. She was so very very proud of each of you and of Jordan and Bradley and Lucy, at least as much, Mitchell and Debbie. Back when we attended Friday Night OVS Services with your dear Dad, of blessed memory and more recently, too. She beamed with pride as you each - and your precious kids - made her so proud and happy. and I hope that gift you so abundantly gave her is always remembered. Fran and I send our condolences and love to each of you... and to Phyllis and all dear Betty's family and friends. She really brought a smile and then some to everyone she met. Such a sweet lady.

Betty became our sister when our mother married her father, Bernie in 1970. We had a lot of good times together and she got me my first job working with her at GE Credit in Dunwoody. I was an attendant in her wedding to Ben and we shared lots of family time through the years. The world is just a little sadder without Betty in it. May her memory be a blessing to all.
