OBITUARY
Paula Barbara (Milner) Rachelefsky passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. She leaves behind three children, Lance of Brookline, MA (and his wife Gavin Andrews), Ian of Atlanta, GA, and Sara of Cumming, GA (and her husband Chris Casper), five grandchildren Stellan, Elsa, Jaxton, Sadie and Chloe. In addition, she leaves two siblings, Donna and Jan, and her stepmother, Yolanda Milner. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Dr. Marvin Rachelefsky in July 2021.
Paula was born on October 4, 1949 to Henrietta and Samuel Milner and raised in Coney Island, NY. She was a homemaker, educator, and reading specialist. She received her master’s degree in education from the University of Pittsburgh and an undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College. On March 26, 1972 Paula married her high school sweetheart Marvin, and they raised their three children in Atlanta. Paula and her family have been members at Temple Sinai in Sandy Springs since the 1980s.
Paula loved nothing more than doting on her five grandchildren, going to see the Atlanta Braves play, and a good book. She loved the beach, traveling the world with her family, and was an avid cat lover. She volunteered over the years for literacy programs and looked forward to participating in the annual Atlanta Jewish Film Festival.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to Temple Sinai www.templesinaiatlanta.org or the National Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org
A private, graveside service is planned for Thursday, December 1 at Arlington Memorial Park at 10:30 am.

I knew Paula from Coney Island when we were teenagers we had a lot of kids that hung out together and we had a lot of fun . I had not seen Paula for many years but I would like to offer my condolences to her family
Lori and David Greenwald
Lance, Ian and Sara: David and I would like to extend our condolences to you regarding your mother’s passing. Paula was a very sweet and caring person who we considered a friend. We can only imagine how difficult this is for all of you. The only saving grace is that we do believe that your parents are not reunited. May your mother’s memory continues to be a blessing for all of you.
Eric and Jodi Andrews
To Lance, Ian and Sara and families: Our deepest and heartfelt sympathy as we feel the shock of your mom’s passing and can only imagine the intense grief you feel. This was to to be the time for Paula to find another act that she could enjoy after your dad’s passing. But there was a stronger force pulling her elsewhere. May all her family and friends find peace with that. With our deepest sympathy, love Eric and Jodi Andrews
Martha Jo Katz
Sending deepest sympathy to all. Paula and Marvin were both the nicest people! We enjoyed being with them for many years at the AJFF and called them our "cat" buddies who stood in line with us. I will miss Paula on FB too. She always replied to my posts and me to hers especially about our kitties. May memories in the heart bring comfort to the soul.
Marlene Marcus
My heart has an empty space in it. Marv and my brother, Dr. William Sonis were in med school together. I am Bill’s sister. All of us spent time together in Pittsburgh. I so loved being around your Mom. What a wonderful woman! No one was like Paula. My heart goes out to all of you.

Dear Lance, Ian and Sarah, I am in total disbelief to hear about the sudden passing of your dear Mom She always spoke so highly of you, and she adored her precious grandchildren. May her memory be a blessing.
