OBITUARY
Dr. Edward Karlin, age 75, of Marietta passed away on 9/19/2022. Dr. Karlin was born in South Euclid, OH, a suburb of Cleveland. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve and his DDS from The Ohio State University. While at Ohio State, he met and married the love of his life, Bonnie. Together, they moved to Atlanta where they established a new home and had two children, Jason and Shari.
Dr. Karlin owned and operated a successful dental practice on Windy Hill Road for over 40 years and took great pride in helping his wonderful patients. He was fortunate to have the assistance of his office manager Kathy Adams for over 35 of those years.
He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather. His 4 grandsons, David, Aaron, Max, and Benjamin became his pride and joy and he was proud to witness his two oldest grandsons become Bar Mitzvahs.
He loved to travel, and his favorite destination was Marco Island, Florida where he took the family for 14 winters. He was a lifelong fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, and Browns, but also became a big Braves and Bulldog fan. His love for sports, especially baseball was passed down to his entire family.
He set a wonderful example for his family, caring for Bonnie throughout her successful battle against Leukemia.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife Bonnie, his brother Marshall, his son Jason Karlin (Renee), his daughter Shari Perkins (Matt), and his four grandsons, David Perkins, Aaron Karlin, Max Karlin, and Benjamin Perkins.

Dr. Karlin was our dentist after we first arrived in Marietta Georgia over 30 years ago. He was one of the most pleasant individuals I've ever met. I always enjoyed our baseball and football discussions. There is truly no one that can take his place. Our prayers go out to his wonderful wife, Bonnie, and the Karlin family. We both really miss our dear friend.

Dr Karlin was my dentist for over 25 years. I was introduced to him through a friend and after my first visit I never considered using anyone else. After my daughter was born Dr Karlin started to see her to. I am deeply saddened to learn of Ed's passing. He was always upbeat and ready for good conversation...even when my mouth was hanging wide open. He'll be missed as my dentist and as a friend. So sorry for your loss.

Dr. Karlin was my dentist for over 25 years. He was so kind and gentle. He always loomed larger than life to me. We always shared our Cleveland stories, memories and jokes during my visits. Even though it was a dental visit when I saw him, he always made me smile. Words can't express how much I will miss him. He and his wife were such a wonderful team in the office and you could feel the love that they shared. May you rest in Power Dr. Karlin.
