OBITUARY
On July 9, 2022, Lynne Kessler died in Atlanta, GA after a long courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was 74 years old. In her final days, Lynne was surrounded in love by her daughters, son-in-law, grandchildren, sister, brother-in-law, niece, nephew, and lifelong and special friends, Kathleen Reginelli, Jeremy and Jenn Roberts, and Willa Saalwaechter.
Lynne was born on August 22, 1947, in Miami, FL to Harry and Grace Kessler. She graduated from Coral Gables High School and went on to attend the University of Alabama. She eventually left Florida for Chicago, Illinois, where she started her family. Although she was a native Floridian, Lynne’s heart and home was Colorado, where she lived for many years in both Denver and Aspen.
The pride of Lynne’s life were her daughters and her four adoring grandchildren. Lynne also shared a special bond with her devoted sister, Beverly, with whom she spoke every day. Lynne is survived by her daughters, Mindy Berenson (Eric) and Jill Pasternak, her four grandchildren, Hunter Pasternak, Logan Pasternack, Andrew Berenson and Alex Berenson, her sister Beverly Sokolow (Larry), as well as nieces, nephews, and a loving extended family. The family also wants to thank Barbara Zimmerman, who was a wonderful friend and support to Lynne.
At Lynne’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial. The family is hoping to have a celebration of Lynne’s life in Colorado and will be in touch with loved ones once something is scheduled. The family asks that any donations in Lynne’s memory be made to American Cancer Society.
Arrangements by Dressler's Jewish Funeral Care, 770-451-4999.
