Our hearts are broken as we share the sad news that our beautiful daughter, Michelle Mactas, passed away on Tuesday, May 31st, in her apartment in Deerfield Beach, FL, at the age of 27. The cause of death has not yet been determined but appears to be from an accidental drug overdose. Michelle had a heart of pure gold and was loved deeply by her family and friends. She helped so many people who struggled with life’s unfair challenges, as she did with her own. She loved cats, theater, Japanese food and culture, music, and laughing with her friends. Our family has been touched by the outpouring of love and compassion from people who Michelle touched. We hope she is finally at peace and is cuddling with her beloved Sugar and Spice. A memorial service open to the public will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, June 7th, at Temple Sinai in Sandy Springs, GA. A Shiva open to all will be at the Mactas' home, 12 Ramsey Street, Roswell on Thursday, June 9th at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Michelle’s memory to the National Alliance on Mental Illness,
