    Ilene Mae Rotenberg Isaacs, 89, of Atlanta, Georgia, died Saturday, April 30, 2022.

    Born December 15, 1932 in Flint, Michigan, she was the youngest daughter of Gertrude “Gussie” (Beren) and Percy Rotenberg and sister to Lenore and identical twin, Sheila. 

    Shortly before graduating high school, Ilene met Malcolm Leslie Isaacs at a Jewish singles event and six months later, Ilene and Malcolm were married on November 4, 1951. 

    Ilene leaves behind her daughters: Pamela Isaacs, Mimi Faran (David Schabb), and Victoria Pasmanick (Robert)  She was a loving grandmother to Greer Mendel (Jarrod, of blessed memory) , Ariel Faran (Hagar), Kelley Pasmanick, Annie Mirochnik (Brian), Yeshai Faran, and Shimree Ben Khalifa (Paul). She was great-grandmother to Jack Mendel, Meyer Mirochnik, Amelie Mendel, Meera Mirochnik, Leeah Ben Khalifa, Yonatan Faran, and Sol Ben Khalifa. 

    After His retirement, Ilene and Malcolm moved to Pompano Beach. In 2016 they relocated to Atlanta to be closer to family. 

    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Research Foundation or Doctors without Borders.
