    Harriet Dworetz, age 96 (Atlanta, GA; formerly of Westport, CT; Westbury, NY; Pompano Beach, FL), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on August 29, 2021 of natural causes, at Huntcliff Summit in Sandy Springs. Valedictorian of Staples High School’s Class of 1943 , Westport, CT; graduate of Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. She was a housewife, community volunteer for NCJW, Hadassah, PTA, Israel Tennis Center, and Northridge Medical Center. She was an avid bridge player until her early 90s, played tennis well into her early 80’s and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, pinochle and mahjong as well.

    She was a warm and loving person who loved unconditionally—her family, friends, those less fortunate, and every child you ever came in contact with.
    Harriet is predeceased by husband Philip Dworetz (formerly of Brooklyn, NY; Westbury, NY; Pompano Beach, FL); parents Jack & Ethel Breslow and older brother Seymour (Sy) Breslow. She is survived by younger sister Shirley Bernson (San Francisco, CA); her 3 children, Marcia D. Gamboa (Roswell, GA), Gary Dworetz (Smithtown, NY) and Jeff Dworetz (Johns Creek, GA); and her 5 grandchildren: Maestra Tamara Dworetz (Atlanta, GA), Trevor Dworetz (Brooklyn, NY), Dr. Alex Dworetz (Atlanta, GA), Lindsay D. Keller (Forest Hills, NY) and Rachel Dworetz (Centereach, NY).

    Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association to fight both Alzheimers and Dementia or to the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society. The funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept 10 at 10:30 AM at Arlington Memorial Park, Sunrise Chapel, 201 Mt. Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA. Attendees are asked to wear masks and be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
