Kevin was one of my best friends in high school. Of all the persons we our proud to call friends during our lifetimes, in only a few does that friendship rise to the level of abiding love. He was one of those for me. Yesterday I walked by his childhood home to show my girl friend where we had so many good times together. I will never forget his calling me in 2015 when my sister died. I haven't seen him in person for twenty-five years, yet I feel I have lost someone close to me, and I miss him.

I grew up with Kevin in Lynchburg. VA and our families were members of Agudath Shalom. My mom was the youth group advisor and Kevin was in my home often. When Kevin and I talked several times in the last year he spoke fondly of my parents and shared several memories about them. He made me smile and laugh and made me so glad that I reached out to someone I had not seen in 50 years. I am so sorry for his untimely death. My sincere condolences to his family and community.

Kevin was a mensch who was a gentle man and a "gentleman". He always was a kind person and had a rare gentle part of his being that must have been felt by everyone who knew him. He had a re mixture of intellect and kindness without any arrogance. The world has lost a great guy.
