  • OBITUARY

Anita Hannah Lowy Weisser was born on March 25th, 1923 in New York City, New York. She met and married Harry Weisser in 1944 and they moved to Atlanta in 1953 with their two daughters Carol and Suzanne. Living in Atlanta, they made many lifelong friends that they traveled
with and were active in many card groups.

Anita was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when she was in her late 30s but never let anyone know until it was necessary. She learned to be very independent and self-sufficient.

She was a wonderful homemaker, a fabulous cook, did beautiful needlepoint and knitting, played mahjong, did puzzles, and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her daughters Carol (Warren) Fogel, Suzanne (Ervin) Gerson; grandchildren Brandi Kattan, Damon (Allyson) Fogel, Lane (Julia) Gerson, Lindsay (Jonathan) Rubin; great-gandchildren Harrison Fogel, Ryan Fogel, Shai Kattan and Ida Gerson.

Anita's family would like to thank Weinstein Hospice for their continued care and support. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Anita's name to Weinstein Hospice, Ahavath Achim Synagogue, and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
