Rhina, Stuart, and Sam....I'm so saddened to hear the news about Leon. The memories of him that immediately come to mind are from singing in the choir at Shearith Israel when I was so young, and how nice he was to all of us. Leon was a true mensch and a GREAT storyteller. He always asked how we and our family were doing. Y'all were one of the first families we met when we came to Atlanta in 1969 and it's been a pleasure watching Stuart and Sammy become true mensches like their Dad. He will be sorely missed by many, many people in addition to you and your families. May his Memory be for a Blessing.

"Uncle" Leon was one of the most endearing people we ever knew. There are so many fun and sweet memories of him, especially having known him, literally, since I was born, 3 weeks after Stuart. It's hard to put into words how his loss affects us as longtime family friends. To "Aunt" Rhina, Stuart, Sammy, and your families: we are thinking of you with much much love during this time of sadness and mourning. We're hoping the myriad of good memories of Uncle Leon will help comfort you in the days to come. Hugs after hugs are being sent your way. Love you!

We were shocked by Leon's sudden passing; we just participated together in this past Wednesday minyan at Shearith Israel. Leon and Stuart have been stalwarts of Saturday Shabbat services, leading, participating and always occupying at he same seats on the far right aisle. The Tuck family has always been an integral part of the Shearith Israel family. As a ten year old, Leon was my DSI advisor at the JCC and a friend from that time forth. He was always positive, kind and thoughtful. His knowledge of old Jewish Atlanta was encylcopedic. Leon was an icon in our community and is irreplaceable. He will be sorely missed. Leon and Rhina have always been two of the warmest and kindest people I have known. Just before the Pandemic, I had the pleasure of sitting with Leon at a speech at the MJCC and we kind of talked about some of the old days and it was great. Dear Rhina, Stuart, Sam and the entire families, Leon had the special quality o fmaking everyone around him feel comfortable whether older or younger than he. At CSI Shabbat services or evening minyan, he would have a good story about just about anyone or their parents - the long lasting fillings in his teeth from Candice's father or Dan's father's lessons to a new shul Board member. They were always told with warmth and humor. We will all miss him and learn from him.

Ms Tuck, Stuart, Sammy, and family, I am heartbroken for your loss. When our dads' card game was going strong, there wasn't a week that went by that Dad didn't start a conversation with, "Leon says....". What followed was some Atlanta family's history, Shearith Israel news, good gossip, and more. When I started taking Mom to Minyan, Mr Tuck was there daily and I loved seeing him, joking with him, and hearing, "Maury, let me tell you something". He will be greatly missed. May his memory be for a blessing.

Rhina, Stuart, Sam, Helene, Allyson et. al., I am so very saddened for your loss! Leon was always a shining light at Shearith and I will miss him greatly! I only wish that I was able to give him the herring he so greatly missed these past 14 months. For those of us in attendance last Shabbat, we were given such an extraordinary gift of Leon davening Shacharit and Musaf, and leading Adon Olam his way!!! His presence will be missed daily and weekly!

I have such incredible fond memories of Mr Tuck. All of those days visiting my good friend Sammy. He was like a second father to all of us. Always looking out for us, pointing us in a better direction when we got off track. When I think back to my days at the Hebrew Academy and BBYO, it is the memories of my time with Sammy and Phillip under the watchful eyes of Sammy's parents that stand out the most. My deepest condolences on his passing. May his memory always be a blessing to all of you. Stephen Siegel
